Do you have an Indoor Studio?
You bet! I am located in the Lakeport Commons area in Sioux City, Iowa.
When should we schedule our session?
We recommend booking 4–6 weeks in advance, especially for weekend availability. Most sessions take place when your baby is 11–12 months old so images are ready for first birthday celebrations.
When will we receive our photos?
Your final gallery will be delivered within 2–3 weeks after your session. During peak seasons it may be 3-4 weeks.
How will we receive our images?
Images are delivered through an online gallery where you can download and share your photos.
Do you offer refunds?
Retainers are non-refundable but may be transferred to a rescheduled date if proper notice is given.
Do you provide the cake?
The cake is provided by the client. This allows you to choose a cake that fits your baby’s dietary needs and preferences. We recommend a simple smash-friendly cake with soft frosting and minimal decorations.
What kind of cake works best?
Soft cakes with buttercream or whipped frosting photograph best. Avoid hard fondant, tall toppers, or dark-colored frosting that can stain skin and outfits.
What should my baby wear?
Outfits can be simple! Rompers, bloomers, or neutral clothing photograph beautifully. Barefoot is encouraged. If your package includes outfit changes, we recommend bringing easy-on, easy-off options
Can parents or siblings be in the photos?
Cake smash sessions are focused on the birthday child. If you’d like family or sibling images, please let us know in advance so we can recommend the best session option.
What if my baby doesn’t want to smash the cake?
Totally normal! Some babies are cautious at first. We allow time for warming up, encouragement, and exploration — often the best moments happen naturally.
Can I choose the backdrop or theme?
Yes! We’ll discuss available backdrops and colors prior to your session to match your vision and style.
